For those that couldn't grasp the complexities of actually holding a record by its edges, Bang & Olufsen came up with this natty little item that was basically a plastic disc (branded with the Bang & Olufsen logo) with a felt insert.
You simply slid it over the edge of the record and picked it up, and what you did with it after that was entriely up to you but most people didn't grip tightly enough and usually saw their precious vinyl bouncing across the floor.
Given away as a Corporate Gift, and thought to be from the late 1970's / early 1980's.
