My old speakers have 'Foam Rot' - help!
From where might I obtain a new driver for my Beovox loudspeaker?
The material which makes up any loudspeaker gradually deteriorates over time. Occasionally 'foam rot' may set in. You'll know this as the driver within the loudspeaker cabinet has dust around it and it becomes loosened. The sound quality may well be impaired too. Sometimes - as in the case of the newer CX50 and CX100 passive loudspeakers - you can obtain replacement parts from your B&O dealer.
Another UK-based company - Recone - manufactures components for a broad range of Bang & Olufsen loudspeakers, and many of our members speakers have been saved by them!.
